Family Art Saturdays – Summer Solstice: Celebrate the Sun – Kelowna

RCA Family Art Saturdays – These programs are made to get creative with your family at the Rotary Centre for the Arts every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the month! Each session features hands-on art activities inspired by themes like Art Around the World and Seasonal Art. It’s a fun, welcoming space for all ages to explore, learn, and create together—no cleanup required! All materials provided.

Welcome the good weather with us as we make ‘sun prints’: cyanotype pictures and upcycle frames for them. We will also make and decorate easy kites to fly and celebrate summer! No experience necessary. 

Instructor Bernadette Wycks: With a BFA from Emily Carr in Vancouver, and long immersed in the fertile soil of community eco-arts, as well as art education in Vancouver and Toronto, Bernadette Wycks is excited to share creative ways to explore the connection between art and nature! We will explore creative ways to celebrate being in the world.
