Mike and Lizzy’s Cherry U-Pick orchard was originally planted in 1948 and many of those beautiful original Van, Lambert and Bing trees are still going strong producing gorgeous, tasty cherries. Since then, Lapin, Skeena and Rainier varieties have been added and we planted Cristalinas this year which we expect to start producing in 2-3 years!
We are a u-pick orchard where we are focussed on helping you have your best summer day picking your own fruit! We generally open early July, Once we open, we are there from 8am to 2 pm every day (unless it is raining) for approximately 3 weeks. We have everything you need: buckets, stools and ladders (which we are on site at all times to move safely for you). We do not charge admission or take reservations: it is first come, first served. We are a small orchard and can get very busy, so we recommend coming early to beat the crowds and the heat.
Also, cherries are at their best when picked while still cool so early picking also yields the best quality. We are a cash business so planning ahead is a good idea. We are located at 4801 Lakeshore Place just below Summerhill Winery. Look for us on the corner of Lakeshore, Chute Lake and Barnaby Roads.
