GottaGoat Farm
GottaGoat Farm is a fun and family-friendly destination located just outside Penticton near the Apex Mountain Resort turnoff. Visitors can meet, pet, and brush a variety of goats, including Miniature Silky Fainting Goats, while also seeing other farm animals like pigs, chickens, a donkey, and horses. The farm is open year round, with more drop-in days available in the spring and summer. Baby goats start arriving in early spring, and families can also take part in seasonal outdoor goat yoga classes or book birthday parties and group visits.

Log Barn 1912 is a quirky, family-friendly stop along Highway 97 near Armstrong that blends country charm with fun roadside attractions. A favorite with both locals and tourists, it’s known for Dave’s Goat Walk—a hilarious and interactive setup where goats climb high platforms and get fed by pulley! There are also life-sized dinosaur and animal statues for fun photo ops, a small playground, and plenty of space for kids to roam. Be sure to try their ice cream or homemade pie and browse the market for local sausages, cheeses, and preserves.

Linden Gardens is a peaceful 9-acre garden ideal for a relaxing stroll with kids, who can enjoy a scavenger hunt and visit some farm animals like goats and bunnies. In spring, the cherry trees go into bloom, followed by peonies and roses in early summer, creating a colourful and ever-changing backdrop. With winding paths, shady picnic spots, and the charming Frog City Café on-site, it’s a beautiful place to spend time outdoors.

Parrot Island is a non-profit sanctuary for rescued parrots. Visit the sanctuary to learn about the parrots, their expected life, and how we as humans can prevent the breeding of these birds by keeping them in their natural habitat. Outside the building on neighbouring property, you will find miniature horses for the kids to watch in action.
