Bok is Baas means “Goat is Boss” in Afrikaans, and the name fits. This family-run farm on Kelowna’s south side is home to a herd of friendly Nigerian Dwarf goats who pretty much run the place, and visitors are welcome to come meet them.
It’s Kelowna’s only certified goat dairy farm, and everything you taste here is made on site. The fresh goat cheese, the Italian-style gelato, the affogato poured over a scoop at the coffee shop, all of it starts with milk from their own goats just steps away.
Plan to spend a little time. Goat feeding and petting happens at specific time slots throughout the day, so check ahead before arriving. The kids can hunt for fairy doors tucked around the property and burn off energy at the playground while you settle in with a coffee and take in the views over Okanagan Lake. The farm sits just minutes from the entrance to Okanagan Mountain Park, so it pairs nicely with a hike or a drive along the south Mission wine route.
