The Parkinson Recreation Centre Playground is an inclusive play space in Kelowna, and a must-visit if you have kids who love a bit of imagination. The star of the Parkinson Recreation Centre Playground is a giant green Ogopogo, broken into separate humps, tail, and a friendly head that kids can climb on, crawl through, and pose with. Surrounding the Ogopogo are different area, including a wheelchair-accessible ramp leading up to a yellow bus-themed play structure with steering wheels, a rope climbing pyramid, saucer swings, a spinning disc, and a sensory panel with musical instruments tucked into a quieter corner.
There’s also a sandbox area for digging and scoop play, plus benches, a few trees for shade, and picnic tables nearby. The location is ideal as well, right in front of the Parkinson Recreation Centre with parking on site.
