The Johnson Bentley Memorial Aquatic Centre Playground sits next to the Aquatic Centre and is a fun stop on its own or to pair with a swim. There are two play structures. The smaller play structure is geared toward younger kids, with musical elements, a tunnel crawl, a slide, a small climbing ramp with numbered footholds, and low platforms that are easy for toddlers to manage. The bigger structure is built for older kids, with rope climbing nets, a tall climbing wall, monkey bars, balacing elements, and a slide.
You’ll also find a saucer swing that fits a few kids at once and a stand-up rope spinner that older kids love. The whole play area is on wood chip ground cover with a paved curb around the edge, and there’s open grassy space nearby for kids to run, plus the West Kelowna Skatepark within walking distance. Picnic tables and benches are also nearby.
