Skaha Lake Beach
Located at the south end of Penticton, Skaha Lake Beach is a beautiful and well-loved spot for a full day by the lake. With playgrounds, concession stands, and washrooms at both ends, it’s easy for families to settle in and enjoy everything the beach has to offer.
A scenic walkway runs the length of the beach, offering stunning views of Skaha Lake and easy access between amenities. The shallow entry and soft, reddish sand make it a great place for young kids to splash and play. Just keep an eye out for the marked buoys in the water, which indicate where the water suddenly gets deeper beyond the shallow entry.
You’ll also find floating rafts and beach slides in the water during the summer, adding a little extra fun for kids. While there are a few trees along the beach, shade is limited, so bringing a beach umbrella or sunshade is a good idea.
If you need a break from the sun, Skaha Lake Park is right there. With plenty of mature trees, grassy areas, and additional picnic space, it’s a great place to cool off and relax.
