Sudbury Beach
Sudbury Beach might look like it’s part of Skaha Beach, but it’s actually its own quiet little spot just down the shoreline in Penticton. It’s wide, sandy, and perfect for a relaxing day of swimming, sunbathing, and lakeside fun.
You’ll find everything you need for a full beach day—there’s a concession stand with snacks and cold treats, public washrooms, and even a fire pit (when permitted) that make it easy to spend a full day at the beach. A dedicated parking lot is available, making access simple for families and visitors.
One of the best recent additions? The City of Penticton installed Mobi-Mats and Mobi-Chairs in the summer months, making the beach more accessible for visitors with mobility challenges. The non-slip mats provide wheelchair-friendly paths right onto the sand, and the floating beach wheelchairs offer a way for everyone to enjoy the water.
Glow SUP Adventures is also set up right on the beach, offering paddleboard and kayak rentals if you’re in the mood to explore the lake.
Just a heads up—there’s not a lot of natural shade here, so be sure to bring a beach umbrella or sun tent. Visiting in the morning or late afternoon can also help you avoid the hottest part of the day.
