10 amazing artists have been selected and they are each creating an amazing and unique work of art. These murals will be officially unveiled on Friday, March 21st to kick-off for the Ignite the Arts Festival.
Kids, it is now your turn! Drop in on Saturday, March 22nd anytime from 11am-2pm for our Kids Mini “Mini” Mural Forgery event during the Penticton Spring Art Walk.
Children are invited to view all 10 murals on display, and create their own forgery pieces of the murals, using their imagination and creativity to create unique interpretations. Parents are welcome to join in on the fun as we celebrate both the artistic talent of our juried mini mural artists as well as the community’s budding Picassos.
Staff/volunteers from the Penticton Art Gallery will be on hand to help kids with their artistic creations. All art supplies will be provided.
Prizes will be awarded to the up-and-coming artists in the form of VIP Ignite the Arts tickets! Families can take home their child’s mini “mini” murals, or they can leave them with us and we will put them on display at Cannery Brewing.
Note that our space is family-friendly. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
