Childhood Connections provides families with valuable support through drop-in programs, flexible childcare options, and family resource programs. Their drop-in programs and childcare services offer convenient, high-quality care and play-based learning for children, helping parents balance their schedules while fostering healthy child development.

The YMCA of Southern Interior BC offers family support programs that bring parents, caregivers, and children together through drop-in and registered activities. Services include family play time, prenatal wellness, and parenting support, all while helping families connect and thrive in a welcoming environment. Services are available throughout the Okanagan.

The Family Support Institute (FSI) is a provincial organization committed to providing culturally-sensitive, accessible and free support to families who have a child or family member with a disability, with or without a diagnosis. FSI offers family-to-family mentorship, support groups, training, and online resources.

StrongStart is a free school-based early learning drop-in program offered on school days. Your child will have free time to play games, read books, create a craft, participate in story time where they will sing songs, and exercise during gym time (where applicable). You will complete a registration form on your first day. Please also be prepared to provide legal proof of identification for your child.

The Okanagan Regional Library (ORL) serves Kelowna through its three branches: Downtown Kelowna, Mission, and Rutland. Each location offers a variety of free programs for families, including Story Time, Baby Time, and Toddler Time, along with many others. Seasonal activities and events throughout the year provide great options if you are looking for things to do with your family.

The Regional District of Central Okanagan offers a variety of nature-based programs, events, and guided hikes in regional parks throughout the year. Their seasonal park program guide highlights opportunities for families and individuals to enjoy drop-in activities, public programs, and educational experiences. Led by knowledgeable park interpreters, these programs are designed to help participants explore and appreciate the natural beauty of the Central Okanagan’s parks.

Founded in 1969, The Bridge offers support to youth and families in the Okanagan community. We work preventatively with new parents and their infants, we support families with various programs and we provide detox and recovery programs to youth and adults.
