We had heard about GottaGoat Farm in Penticton for a while, and we finally made the trip! We were lucky to visit when the ‘kids’ were brand new (some just a week old). It was an adorable experience, and the farm is a fun and educational outing for all ages.
Getting to the Farm
From Highway 97 in Penticton, turn onto Green Mountain Road (at the intersection by Home Hardware) and follow the signs for Apex Mountain Resort. Drive through the Penticton Indian Band reserve and continue along Green Mountain Road for approximately 20 km.
At the Apex Horse Ranch, you’ll come to a “Y” intersection. Stay to the left to avoid heading to Apex. GottaGoat Farm is just one more kilometer from this intersection on the left side.

Look for the GottaGoat Farm sign, a paved driveway, and a large tan barn/house.
Address: 2099 Green Mountain Road
Note: There is no cell phone reception shortly after you head out on Green Mountain Road, but the farm has Wi-Fi available if needed.
Parking and Payment
Upon arrival, park on the left side beside the barn. This is where the tour will begin.
GottaGoat Farm is open year-round for visits, offering both appointments and drop-in days on specific dates. Drop-in days vary seasonally, so make sure to check their website for the most up-to-date schedule.

Visits typically last about one hour. Payment is accepted via cash, debit, or credit card. Proceeds go directly toward feeding and caring for the animals at the farm.
The Goat Tour
The tour starts inside the covered barn, where you’ll be greeted by friendly goats, including some adorable baby goats if you visit at the right time of year.
The owners are knowledgeable and passionate about their goats, eager to share fun facts and stories. Visitors get to ask questions, pet the goats, and even help with grooming.

The tour is interactive and informative, making it a great learning experience for both kids and adults.
Goat Yoga

In addition to farm visits, GottaGoat Farm offers goat yoga – a playful and therapeutic yoga experience where adorable goats freely interact with participants, adding fun and laughter to traditional poses. Expect goats to nuzzle, play, and even climb on you, making for a lighthearted and stress-relieving workout like no other!
