Carcajou Fruit Stand

About: This family farm grows and packs sweet cherries of the Okanagan, therefore their harvest usually runs from mid-July until the end of August. They sell bulk cherries at farmgate prices, where they pick, hydro-cooled, and custom pack boxes each week for pick-up on Friday afternoon. Malcolm at Malcolm Fruit and Flower Pedlar will be operating their fruit stand on weekday afternoons at 13218 Victoria Road North (right beside the thrift store).

Chiller’s Gourmet Farm Market

About: Chillers offerings include freshly made ice cream treats, classic soda fountain floats and egg cremes, organic and non-organic local produce, freshly made baked goods, canning, specialty meats, free-run eggs, cheeses, and a variety of bottled beverages, local honey, maple syrup, coffee, salad dressings, assorted condiments, jerk meats, candies, snacks, and various gift items. You will also find drums, guitars, and other goods sold by local artisans and creators.

Dickinson Family Farm (U-Pick Cherries)

About: Dickinson Family Farm produces some of the sweetest and juiciest cherries that are grown in Summerland. They grow six different varieties of cherries and have over 100 trees on-site. Don’t forget to stop at Dickinson Family Farm and get a picture on the World’s Tallest Tripod Orchard Ladder.

Granny’s Fruit Stand and Bakery Cafe

About: This charming and friendly fruit stand offers fresh fruit and vegetables, 20 flavours of ice cream and 10 flavours of gelato, a gumball machine and a toy machine (our kids were obsessed). Their bakery has a separate entrance and they sell fresh pies, baked goods, artisan pizza, and refreshments that you can enjoy on their outdoor, wrap-around, licensed patio. Be warned that their pies sell out fast, so go early! Pizzas are available from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm daily.

About: They sell their fruit on-site from their farm gate. U-pick or they pick. In addition, they have a selection of frozen and canned fruit and jams made from their fruit, available year-round.

Little Acre Fruit Stand

About: If you are driving from Summerland and heading North, you will see this fruit on the right-hand side of the highway. They sell cherries, corn, nectarines, tomatoes, berries, veggies, cucumbers, plums, apricots, pies, syrups, honey, pears, garlic, peach shakes, peach lemonade, fresh salsa, smokies, hot dogs, ice cream, fresh bread, and so much more. They have a few picnic tables outside overlooking panoramic views of Okanagan Lake. There is also a portapotty on site.

McConnell’s Orchards and Fruit Market

About: Selling fruits and vegetables from the Okanagan, Lower Mainland, and their 35 acres of farms they own in Summerland. In addition to their produce, you will find Dew Fresh Honey, Kid’s T-Shirts, Ogopogo Stuffies, Apple Juice, Cherry Juice, Pottery, Ice Cream, and bakery goods, and more. There is a picnic table outside and washrooms are available on-site if needed.

About: Open Wednesday, June 16, 2021, the strawberry farm offers lots of ripe berries in the field. Located at the end of Haddrell Avenue in Summerland, the farm offers stunning views. Check their Facebook Page for updates and hours of operation.

Trout Creek Fruit Stand (U-Pick Cherries, Plums, Nectarines, Peaches and Walnuts)

About: The Trout Creek Fruit Stand has been family-owned since 1995. They sell a wide range of fruits and vegetables with trucks coming from Oliver and Osoyoos daily. Plenty of parking for vehicles and RV’s. They sell apricots, fresh garlic, cherries, tomatoes, dill cukes, pumps, corn, pears, beans, apples, strawberries, and more! Ask them about quantity discounts. Washrooms are available on site with views of their orchards behind the building.
