Big Apple Fruit Stand sits on Jones Flat Road in Summerland, just off Highway 97. The stand carries Okanagan fruit through the season, including cherries, apricots, peaches, plums, blueberries, raspberries and apples, along with corn, some organic produce, local honey, jams and jellies, pickled cucumbers, hot sauce and baked goods.
The ice cream counter has soft serve, hard serve ice cream in kid sizes, fruit sundaes with homemade fruit sauce, and mochi ice cream. They also carry ice pops made locally in Summerland. Kids 12 and under get a golden ducky with any ice cream purchase.
There’s a kids’ table of toys, plus more toys along the side of the building, so little ones have something to do while you shop. A food truck is often set up on site, so it works as a lunch stop too.
