DeHart Community Park in Kelowna is a nine-acre space is packed with fun features for all ages—including a large playground, a water play area, parkour zone, basketball court, games area with foosball and ping pong, and even a small skate spot. Whether you’re coming with young kids, teens, or just looking to get active outdoors, there’s plenty here to explore.
The Kelowna park features two separate playground structures one for big and one little kids, filled with climbing structures, slides, and interactive play elements. One section has a soft rubber-type surface that has a little bounce to it, while the other is covered in wood chips.
There is also a unique water play area where kids can spin the wheel to send water flowing along a raised water table. Families will also love the wide-open grassy areas, perfect for picnics. Large trees offer natural shade throughout the park. There is lots of seating throughout the park.
DeHart Community Park also includes four pickleball courts, tennis courts, a basketball court with hoops, an outdoor fitness circuit, and a multi-use field.
There’s also a foosball table and game tables, just remember to bring your own balls and paddles. A fenced dog park offers a space for dogs to run and play.
Skaters will enjoy the compact skatepark features to practice tricks. There is also a walking loop, community garden, and BMX pump track on site.
Important Tip: If you’re using the on-site parking lot, be aware that it’s paid parking.
