Kopje Regional Park
Tucked away in the peaceful setting of Kopje Regional Park, this small but charming playground is perfect for a relaxed family outing. The play structure has a natural, mostly wooden design that blends right in with the park’s lakeside vibe.
Kids can swing high on the basket swing, balance on the teeter totter, climb across monkey bars, and zip down the slide. It’s surrounded by a large grassy area, perfect for picnics.
While the playground isn’t huge, the park has a lot to offer—lake access for swimming (note: no lifeguard on duty, and water shoes are a good idea for the rocky shoreline), picnic tables, washrooms, and a chance to step back in time at the Gibson Heritage House. Be sure to check the hours before visiting, as they can vary throughout the season.
And don’t forget to take in the view of James Grant Island, a protected bird sanctuary just off the shore—great for a bit of nature spotting!
