Welcome to the 51st annual Kelowna Folkfest and Canada Day Celebration at Prospera Place on July 1, 2026.
As the largest indoor family-oriented event in the Okanagan, we have an exciting day planned. Doors open at 9:30 AM, allowing guests to explore a variety of ethnic food booths before our cultural stage entertainment begins at 10:00 AM.
The schedule also includes:
– 11:30 AM: Canada Day Drumming
– 12:30 PM: Official ceremonies featuring speeches from dignitaries and cultural leaders
– Following Ceremonies: Dignitaries will cut and serve the Canada Day birthday cake to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.
Admission is by donation. Upon entry, volunteers in the foyer will be providing Canada Day tokens, including flags and tattoos.
The venue is wheelchair accessible. We kindly ask that able-bodied attendees utilize the bleacher seating to ensure ample space on the floor for seniors and those with mobility challenges.
