The Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory (DRAO) is an exciting destination for families curious about space and science. Their seasonal guided tours will showcase powerful telescopes like CHIME, which explores the vast universe, and the observatory's role in monitoring solar activity and studying the stars.

Located south of Penticton is Farm Gate Winery and Fruit Stand. Stop in and purchase peaches, plums, strawberries, cherries, and more available.

Folie Flower Farm offers alpaca experiences by appointment only, where families (up to 5 people) can feed and take a short walk with two alpacas around the pastures for $75 per family for a 45-minute visit.

The Kaleden Elementary School playground is perfect for kids of all ages, with fun swings, slides, and climbing structures. There’s also plenty of open space for running and playing.

Located on Skaha Lake with access to the Kettle Valley Rail Trail, Kaleden's Hotel Park's main attraction is the empty shell of a hotel. While you can’t go inside, children can explore the park, which features a large grassy area, a few picnic tables, and stunning lake views—perfect for family photos.

Lakeboat Vineyard & Winery in Kaleden is a kid-friendly spot where wine tastings come with free freezies for the little ones and lawn games like corn hole and lawn bowling. Families can enjoy the open cherry orchard, bring a picnic, or head just a minute down the road to Linden Gardens, where you can explore beautiful gardens, see animals, and grab lunch at the on-site Frog City Café.

Linden Gardens and the Frog City Cafe are located on 9 acres of garden for the kids to wander through and explore. A fantastic addition to the Gardens is a few farm animals for the children to visit. They have pigs, goats, chickens, and bunnies! Before you explore the gardens, pick up a Kids' Scavenger Hunt which is a checklist of pictures for kids to find along your walk.

The playground at Pioneer Park in Kaleden is a well-equipped area with engaging features for kids of all ages. It includes swings for both younger and older children, a variety of slides, monkey bars, and multiple climbing structures.

Sagebrush Stables provides an animal farm experience suitable for all ages. Their one-hour pony and farm tours offer families the opportunity to interact with a variety of farm animals, including horses, ponies, chickens, ducks, and goats. Guests are provided with a large bucket of mash to safely feed the horses using strainers. They also offer Spring Break and Summer Camps.
