The Vernon Public Art Gallery offers a variety of educational programs to students including exhibition tours and hands-on art activities. On the last Monday of every month they offer a mini-artists program and once a month they offer Family Saturdays, where you can join them for a fun art activity inspired by their current exhibits.

The Aquatic Centre consists of two pools. There is a 25-metre, 8-lane pool for lap swimming and a separate free-form leisure pool. In addition, the facility provides a steam room, sauna, whirlpool, waterslide, one-metre diving board, rope swing, and lots of other fun things for the whole family. Life jackets are available to rent and lockers are available for 25 cents.

Have your birthday party at the Vernon Recreation Centre! Enjoy a bouncy castle and games with their activity leader. Bring your own cake and snacks and have a ball! Maximum 16 participants.

Kalamalka Rotary Skateboard Park, located in Polson Park in Vernon, is a popular spot for skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter enthusiasts. Opened in 1999, the park offers a mix of ramps, rails, and concrete features that cater to various skill levels, providing plenty of space to practice tricks and navigate obstacles. Situated within Polson Park, the skatepark is surrounded by other amenities, including a playground, picnic areas, and walking paths.

StrongStart is a free school-based early learning program offered on school days. Your child will have free time to play games, read books, create a craft, participate in storytime where they will sing songs, and exercise during gym time (where applicable).

The Okanagan’s oldest teacher resource and educational toy store. This massive store sells educational toys, games, puzzles, children’s crafts, science and nature supplies, and more. Did you know that they are also home to the $2 ice cream cone at Lollipop Lane?
