About
Centrally located in Vernon, the Prestige Vernon Lodge and Conference Centre is a piece of history that dates back to 1974. This cozy hotel holds a special place in our hearts, as my husband fondly recalls his childhood stays here with his family.
The recently renovated lobby features a stylish coffee bar, enhanced lighting, and ample comfortable seating, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Location
From the Kelowna Airport (YLW), the city of Vernon is conveniently located just a 29-minute drive north. We drove from Penticton and it took us approximately 2 hours, including a few delays.
What we love about this hotel is that it’s centrally located in Vernon, with restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. Nearby you will find Mr. Mikes, 7-Eleven, Starbucks, Boston Pizza, Denny’s, Dairy Queen, and Kelly O’Bryan’s.
Rooms
We stayed in a family suite that featured two queen beds, and a separate large living room with a sofa bed.
The living room also included a desk, extra chairs for seating, a fridge, and a microwave.
The girls loved the couches and chairs and they took off all the cushions to make forts.
Atrium
Inside the atrium, a lush garden houses over 1,000 flourishing plants, adding a touch of nature to your stay.
What makes this hotel truly unique is the peaceful creek that makes its way through the property, a beautiful addition to the atrium.
Pool & Hot Tub
Inside the atrium, you’ll find a pool, hot tub, and inviting dining area to enhance your experience. The lighting in the atrium was recently updated.
The pool starts at 1 metre deep and goes to 1.5 metres deep. To warm up, take a few steps from the pool to the hot tub.
Dining
The hotel houses two restaurants: Cabana Bar + Kitchen and Don Cherry’s Sports Grill.
We dined at the Cabana Bar + Grill for breakfast twice we loved it so much. The girls were provided Cabana Kids menus to colour and choose what they would like to eat.
The restaurant is located in the hotel atrium. Surrounded by trees and plants, it’s a beautiful setting for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Kid’s Activities
Prestige Junior Adventurers Activity Booklet
If you are traveling with your family, ask for a Prestige Junior Adventurers Activity Booklet at the front desk when checking in. Children can colour the booklets with the provided crayons and complete all the activities within the booklet.
Board Games
The hotel offers a diverse selection of board games for guest use. Guests can easily request a game from the front desk.

Amenities
Guests at the Prestige Vernon Lodge & Conference Centre can enjoy several convenient amenities. Their 24-hour fitness room offers free access to registered hotel guests over the age of 18, equipped with a variety of exercise machines and weights. A 24-hour business center with a computer is available, along with photocopy and fax services at the front desk (fees may apply). The hotel also features a guest laundry room with two coin-operated washers and dryers.
Meetings & Events
Recently renovated in the fall of 2023, the Conference Centre now boasts a refreshed ambiance with new carpets, ceilings, walls, lighting, decor, and windows. It remains the North Okanagan’s largest banquet facility, capable of hosting up to 700 people for various events, including conferences, weddings, and concerts.
