Blasted Rock Christmas Tree Farm in Summerland is the perfect place to find your holiday tree this season! Offering a variety of spruce and pine Christmas trees, the farm provides a festive experience for everyone. They’ll cut and load your tree for you, or if you prefer to cut your own, simply bring your own saw and enjoy the hands-on experience. No appointments are necessary on their scheduled dates below. If you can’t make it on the listed dates, you can call Blasted Rock Repair at 250-494-0012 to arrange an alternate visit. The trees are typically $100, cash only please.

Coldstream Creek Farm – Coldstream

Jim’s U Cut Christmas Tree Farm | Enderby
Jim’s U-Cut Christmas Trees will open for the 2024 holiday season with a limited schedule, operating for one weekend only: November 30 and December 1, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day. The farm offers a variety of tree species ranging in height from 5 to 15 feet, with all trees priced at $100, regardless of size. Each tree is carefully cultured (trimmed) and watered throughout the year to ensure freshness and quality. They have moved to a no-tagging policy. Saws will be provided. Visitors are asked to leave their dogs at home due to the busy parking area.

Grumpy’s Christmas Tree Farm | Kelowna
The most well-known Christmas Tree Farm in the Okanagan is Grumpy’s (you will see the big sign out front). In 2024, they are limited to 100 field trees, first-come, first-served. Come join them for a campfire, cookies, and hot chocolate. The opening day for field trees is November 30, 2024. Pre-cut, unculturered trees are available after November 18, 2024 bt appointment. Turner Family Tree Farm is your destination for u-cut Christmas trees, offering a variety of tree types, including Douglas Fir, Colorado Spruce, Fraser Fir, and Scot’s Pine, ranging from 4 to 9 feet in height. They provide flagging tape for preselecting your tree and offer the convenience of saws, kneeling pads, and complimentary hot chocolate. Additionally, they offer tree-wrapping services for medium-sized trees. They ask you not to bring dogs this year, please.

Christmas Ranch Tree Farm | Lumby
Owners Bud and Betty are excited to have the ranch fully open for 2024 – with hundreds of cultured Douglas Fir trees to choose from. In addition, they will be offering free hot chocolate in Santa’s heated workshop. Fun for the whole family! All preselected trees must be picked up by December 15th. Visitors can enjoy a nature walk on the Reindeer Trail, explore the Victorian-style Elf Cottage, and meet miniature animals like horses and goats. They provide saws for u-cut trees and offer tree-shaking services. In addition to fresh-cut swags and birch reindeer, the gift shop features Fire Forge Laser Creations with personalized options, making Christmas Ranch a delightful holiday tradition.

Pick out a Christmas tree at the MacKenzie’s, which is a fun seasonal day for the whole family. You can pre-select a tree now and come back closer to Christmas to pick it up. They are a pet-friendly farm and have their own dog at the tree farm.

Owls Roost Christmas Tree Farm | Osoyoos
Located up Anarchist Mountain, this is a U-cut Christmas tree farm set on a beautiful 160-acre property. They will have concolour fir available for sale. They are open by appointment only to limit the number of people at the farm at once.

Christmas Tree Permits
According to the BC Government website, ‘Members of the public who wish to cut a Christmas Tree on Crown land for personal use must have a “Free Use Permit for a Christmas Tree” from each Natural Resource District where they intend to cut, signed by the appropriate District Manager or designate.’
There is no charge for the permit, however, permittees must:
- Carry the permit at all times
- Read and understand the conditions of the permit before signing
- Produce the permit at the request of a Natural Resource Officer, Conservation Officer or Peace Officer
