The Lumby Library is a welcoming community spot for families to browse, read, and take part in local programming. With 2 dedicated library parking spaces and a 24/7 outside book return, it’s an easy stop whether you’re a regular or just passing through town.
There’s a dedicated kids’ section with a smaller table for kids to colour or read at, a teepee in the corner with toys, and shelves stocked with picture books, early readers, chapter books, graphic novels, and a spinning rack of kids’ DVDs. There’s also a craft table with toddler chairs off to the side.
For older readers, the library carries fiction, mystery, romance, science fiction and fantasy, biography, and a Teen Gallery showcasing local youth artwork. You’ll also find magazines, non-fiction, audiobooks, and a community space with comfy seating, a fireplace nook, public computers, and a printer/scanner.
Beyond books, the Lumby branch offers drop-in programs such as Family Story Time, Stay and Play, and Jr. Story & STEAM. Check their website event calendar for upcoming programs.
