Okanagan Stables offers four ride programs to suit different ages and comfort levels. The Mini Intro Programme is designed for brand-new riders of any age, with a side walker available if needed. The Introductory Trail Ride includes an introduction to the horses, time riding in the yard, and a small guided trail. The Classic Trail Ride begins with a warm-up on horseback followed by a guided trail ride. Sunset Trail Rides are also available in both intro and classic formats, though these are weather dependent and require phone booking.
All rides are guided, and staff can hand-lead younger or nervous riders both in the staging area and along the trail. Parents who aren’t riding are welcome to walk along with their children on the trail. Photo opportunities are built into every programme, so bring your phone or camera. Bookings can be made online, by request form, or by phone for same-day rides. Non-profit group discounts are available by inquiry, and gift cards can be purchased online.
