Cool Treats at Summerland Sweets

Summerland Sweets

You most likely have noticed jams, syrups and other treats from Summerland Sweets at local fruit stands, gift shops and other boutiques across the Okanagan Valley. Trust me, it’s hard to miss their product – it’s everywhere!

But when in Summerland this month, our family was on a different mission. We were looking for an ice cream cone to cool us down during the weekend of Summerland Action Festival.

We drove up to the cute building which also houses Sleeping Giant Fruit Winery. Once we entered the shop, we headed to the back where the ice cream was located.

They offered 28 flavours to choose from when we were there. You can choose between a cone, cup or waffle cone.

We sat down inside at one of their tables to enjoy our ice cream. There were a few tables inside or you could go outside where you could choose from a handful of picnic tables to sit at.

Shopping

Their shop is packed with all the goodies you would expect and more. Also available for purchase are gift baskets, kids toys, books, pottery and so many other treats and gifts. This is a great place to stock up on household shopping for yourself or someone else.

Photo Opportunity

At the front of the building is an old tractor, where the kids could climb right up on the seat, pull the levers and pretend to drive off. This is a great photo opportunity right near the picnic tables or just a great way to distract the kiddos while you enjoy your ice cream.

Another great spot for photos was in their orchard, located right beside the parking lot.
