The Penticton BMX Track is a city-owned track open to the public for recreational riding anytime—except during scheduled races or when the track is wet, as use can damage the surface. Maintained by the Penticton BMX Society, the club welcomes riders of all ages and offers a free one-day trial for those wanting to try out organized racing, with events typically held Thursday evenings from April to October. Racing schedule is available on www.pentictonbmx.com or their Facebook page. Any bike is allowed except motorized or throttle e-bikes.

The Penticton Cycling Pump Track is a great spot for kids with some shaded areas, picnic tables, and easy access to the KVR trail—perfect for little riders and both small and larger bikes.

The Osoyoos Library offers a welcoming space with a wide selection of books, free Wi-Fi, public computers, and regular children’s programs, including story time and seasonal activities.

The KF Centre for Excellence in Kelowna is a 60,000-square-foot aviation exhibit that offers an exciting and interactive experience for families. Located near Kelowna International Airport, this family-friendly destination features a historic aircraft collection, hands-on exhibits, and flight simulators that allow visitors to step into the world of aviation. The facility is wheelchair accessible and open year-round, Tuesday to Saturday. Please be sure to check their website before visiting for special event exceptions to these hours.

Located on Third Street, the Naramata Library is a branch of the Okanagan Regional Library (ORL) system. Visitors can browse books, DVDs, and audiobooks, use public computers and free Wi-Fi, and take part in seasonal programs throughout the year.

The Keremeos Library, an Okanagan Regional Library (ORL) branch, is a community hub offering books, DVDs, public computers, and free Wi-Fi. Located in the downtown area, the library also hosts programs for children, teens, and adults, including storytimes, book clubs, and craft activities.

Visit Planet Bee Honey Farm and Meadery where visitors can enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities. Kids can peek into the glass observatory hives to spot the Queen Bee (look for the white dot), try on a beekeeper suit for a fun photo, enjoy story time (select dates), and explore bee-themed toys, puzzles, and games. There’s lots to see, do, and learn during your visit!

Davison Orchards in Vernon is a family-friendly destination where admission to the farm is free, making it an easy stop for families exploring the area. Kids can visit the Crazy Cow Kids Corral, meet farm animals, and explore a working orchard. The farm offers a full day of fun with toy tractors, tire swings, duck races, and tractor-pulled train rides through the orchard. Parents can enjoy local eats from the Farmhouse Café, real fruit ice cream, and shop for handmade goods, produce, and baked treats in the Country Village.

Just 4 Fun is a treasure trove for kids, packed with fun toys, games, and collectibles, from plushies and puzzles to Pokémon cards and fidget toys. Kids will love browsing the colorful displays, picking out their favorite items, and enjoying a free lollipop too! They even offer a play area so bring some friends and come enjoy playing any of their 500 board games for free! 

The Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory (DRAO) is an exciting destination for families curious about space and science. Their seasonal guided tours will showcase powerful telescopes like CHIME, which explores the vast universe, and the observatory's role in monitoring solar activity and studying the stars.
