Peachland Outdoor Ice Rink
This seasonal rink offers a 3 on 3 hockey setup and is equipped with rink lights, providing the perfect opportunity for some outdoor ice fun. While it’s open daily from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, please note that rentals are not allowed. The rink’s availability depends on consistent temperatures below freezing, and entirely volunteer-run by Peachland Fire and Rescue volunteers. They appreciate skaters shovelling the rink after use, as it helps save their volunteers time and maintains the surface conditions. To ensure the park’s preservation, please respect the posted signage, and when conditions are ideal, the rink is freshly flooded nightly at 9:00 pm. Photo Credit: Peachland Fire and Rescue Service.

Jeffers Park Ice Rink
This outdoor rink in Lavington is covered and free to use. Public skate with NO stick or pucks Daily from 4-5 pm and 9-10 am on Saturdays and Sundays. This rink is operated by the Lavington Community Association and the rink may close without notice as it is weather dependent. The facility cannot be booked, or rented. It is first come first served with the expectation that everyone is considerate of other ice users. Jeffers Park Rink is utilized daily during the week by the classes at Lavington Elementary. For safety reasons, the ice will be closed to the public during this time.

Centennial Outdoor Rink
Centennial Outdoor Rink in Vernon offers free outdoor skating throughout the winter season, with a range of public skate sessions, family-friendly times, and dedicated Shinny games for various age groups. Helmets are mandatory for skaters under 10 and all Shinny players, and additional equipment requirements apply. Youth Shinny players must pre-register and display a color-coded helmet marker provided by the Recreation Centre. The rink also offers rental and private booking options, making it a versatile spot for winter fun. For the latest schedule updates or closures, visitors should check online.

Penticton Outdoor Skating Rink
The Penticton Outdoor Skating Rink, is seasonal and located north of City Hall’s parking lot. The rink, measuring 40 by 14 meters, operates daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Family skating happens on odd calendar days with no hockey, pucks, or sticks allowed—perfect for beginners and casual skaters. Even calendar days are for shinny hockey, open to all ages, with safety gear required and fair play encouraged. Bring your own skates, as rentals are not available.

District Wine Village in Oliver offers a unique and family-friendly experience, featuring 16 artisan producers, including wineries, a brewery, and a distillery. SUNBELT Arena
Enjoy a full season of public ice skating at the SUNBELT Sports Centre! Weekly sessions include Adult and Senior Shinny Hockey, general adult and senior skating, family skate, and a free Parent & Tot skate. Special events include Stat Holiday and Pro-D Day Toonie Skates, free holiday skating, and an annual Santa Skate, where families can enjoy hot chocolate, candy canes, and photos with Santa. Note: no skate rentals are available, and dates and times are subject to change.

MNP Place
Public skating at the Leisure Rink in MNP Place is available on weekdays from Thanksgiving through Spring Break. Helmets are required for skaters under 18, and both skate rentals and skate trainers are available. All drop-in sessions, including public skating, must be registered online via Daysmart Recreation. Have some birthday fun on their indoor soccer field or go skating on their leisure rink (subject to availability). There are two meeting rooms available for rental, they are separate rentals from the field/ice.

Opening in early December, this outdoor rink offers free skating every day, making it a budget-friendly choice. With extended hours, it’s a perfect winter activity to enjoy skating under the open sky.

Rutland Arena
The Rutland Arena features two NHL-sized rink surfaces and offers a variety of skating times, including public skate, Parent & Tot sessions, and seniors’ skate, making it a great choice for all ages. Rentals are available, including skates, skate bars, and helmets, and there’s also on-site skate sharpening for added convenience.
Pre-booking your skate in advance is recommended and can be done up to seven days in advance.
