Skating Rinks

Boasting a 200 x 85-foot ice sheet and 4 dressing rooms, the Summerland Arena offers public skating and parent and tot skating. The Summerland Banquet Room is located on the second level of the Summerland Arena. This space is 3645 sp. ft and has the capacity to host 250 people, complete with a commercial kitchen.

This 1km loop is truly amazing to enjoy with the entire family. Bring your skates or rent your own as you glide through trees and a winter wonderland. The adventure skating loop is maintained and cleared every day.

Brewer's Pond at SilverStar Mountain Resort in Vernon, British Columbia, offers a quintessential Canadian ice-skating experience on its expansive 2.5-acre natural rink. Skaters of all ages can glide across the ice, enjoy a game of pond hockey, or take a leisurely skate amidst the picturesque mountain scenery. The pond features an outdoor fire pit and music, enhancing the enchanting atmosphere. Skate rentals are available on-site at Brewer's Base, and helmets are recommended for safety. An NHL and international-sized arena, the facility provides skating, ringette, and hockey to the public.

Public skating is free on Sunday and Wednesday nights at the Winfield Arena. All ages are welcome to their free, family-friendly public skate.

The Similkameen Skating Rink at the Similkameen Recreation Centre in Keremeos operates as a full-sized, outdoor hockey rink, complete with half boards and lighting for evening use. Typically open from December to February (weather dependent), it offers amenities like change rooms, washroom access, and skate rentals (though sharpening is not available). Programs include Mites and adult hockey, skating lessons, drop-in sessions, and sponsored skate events during the Christmas holidays, providing options for all ages and skill levels to enjoy the ice.

The Cherryville Outdoor Rink, located in Hanson Park, provides a seasonal outdoor skating experience for the community, open to the public when weather permits. For updates on hours and rink conditions, the Cherryville Rink Society’s Facebook page shares the latest information.
