Oliver & District Arena
The Oliver & District Arena offers a range of public skating sessions for all ages and skill levels, making it a great place for family fun and exercise. With affordable weekday rates, free skating for preschoolers, and free Saturday and Sunday evening skates from November to February, there’s something for everyone. The schedule includes public skating, parent & child skate, drop-in hockey, and family-friendly sessions sponsored by the Oliver Lions Club.

McLaren Arena
Public skating at McLaren Arena is open to all ages – they offer traditional loop skating in one direction with one-third of the ice available for parents with their children under age 5. One-third of the ice is also available for Parent & Tot Skate and Preschool Stick & Puck.

Penticton Lakeside Resort Outdoor Rink
The Penticton Lakeside Resort’s 30’ x 50’ fully lit ice rink is now open for the season! Located on the resort’s private licensed beach, it’s available to in-house guests and the public. The rink operates daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., except during private rentals or bad weather. Public skating is free, but skate rentals are not available—be sure to bring your own. Private rentals of the rink are available.

Activate Penticton Skating Rink
The new Penticton Outdoor Skating Rink, located north of City Hall’s parking lot, opens Saturday, December 21, 2024. The rink, measuring 40 by 14 meters, operates daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Family skating happens on odd calendar days with no hockey, pucks, or sticks allowed—perfect for beginners and casual skaters. Even calendar days are for shinny hockey, open to all ages, with safety gear required and fair play encouraged. Bring your own skates, as rentals are not available. Run by volunteers, the rink is open to everyone all season long, with no private bookings allowed.

Enderby Arena
Located within the John Pritchard Memorial Sports Complex, Enderby Arena offers a full season of public skating from September to March. Weekly public skate times are available alongside seasonal skating lessons for various skill levels. The arena also hosts the Enderby Ice Hawks hockey sessions for different age groups. With a capacity for 900 spectators, the arena provides bleacher seating, a concession, dressing rooms, and washroom facilities. Private bookings are available at reduced rates during non-prime hours, including special holiday rates in late December.

Centennial Outdoor Rink
Centennial Outdoor Rink in Vernon offers free outdoor skating throughout the winter season, with a range of public skate sessions, family-friendly times, and dedicated Shinny games for various age groups. Helmets are mandatory for skaters under 10 and all Shinny players, and additional equipment requirements apply. Youth Shinny players must pre-register and display a color-coded helmet marker provided by the Recreation Centre. The rink also offers rental and private booking options, making it a versatile spot for winter fun. For the latest schedule updates or closures, visitors should check online.

SUNBELT Arena
Enjoy a full season of public ice skating at the SUNBELT Sports Centre! Weekly sessions include Adult and Senior Shinny Hockey, general adult and senior skating, family skate, and a free Parent & Tot skate. Special events include Stat Holiday and Pro-D Day Toonie Skates, free holiday skating, and an annual Santa Skate, where families can enjoy hot chocolate, candy canes, and photos with Santa.

Summerland Arena
Boasting a 200 x 85-foot ice sheet and 4 dressing rooms, the Summerland Arena offers public skating and parent and tot skating. The Summerland Banquet Room is located on the second level of the Summerland Arena. This space is 3645 sp. ft and has the capacity to host 250 people, complete with a commercial kitchen.
