On our way back from Oliver, we made the necessary stop at Tickleberry’s Ice Cream Shop in Okanagan Falls.
It’s a hard-to-miss building right on Highway 97 as you drive through town.
Beautiful paintings of bears and scenery cover the side of the building and picnic tables are available outside to sit and enjoy a treat.
If you are driving by in the summer months or a long weekend, you will most likely see a lineup out the door and sometimes right into the parking lot, if not to the highway!
Ice Cream & Milkshakes
Choose your favourite flavour then decide if you want a cone, waffle cone or cup. The portions are large so I always suggest getting the smallest size for the little kids.
They even make milkshakes, which someone ordered while were there and it was the largest milkshake I have ever seen.
Fudge
Tickleberry’s underwent renovations this past year to expand their shop which allowed them to make a dedicated area for their handmade fudge. So many delicious flavours to choose from while you browse their shop.
Gifts & Shopping
What I didn’t expect when visiting Tickleberry’s is all the beautiful items you can purchase there. Everything from purses, to jewellery to toys and home decor. They have so many funny and unique signs (this was my favourite).
You may think you are coming for ice cream but you might end up leaving with so much more.
Tips & Tricks
- When ordering ice cream, I always order a smaller size than what I want. For me, I always get the Senior cone because everything they scoop is huge.
- There is one table to sit at inside (I believe there was 6 chairs) and other picnic tables are located outside.
- Washrooms are at the back of the building. There are three newly renovated washrooms, the last one is larger than the others and it has a new change table. Perfect for those little ones and very much appreciated.
