We spent the morning in Oliver at the SORCO Raptor Rehab Centre Open House, which only happens once a year. They open their gates up to the public to visit their facility and meet Houdini the Owl. On our way back, we stopped at Tickleberry’s for a treat and then finished the morning off at Kenyon Park in Okanagan Falls.

Kenyon Park is located at the south end of Skaha Lake at 5332 Cedar Street. There is parking along Cedar Street and 7th Avenue, which are both close to the park and beach.

The park features the John Bell Playground, a water spray park and a smooth and sandy beach. It also offers picnic tables, benches and public washrooms.

Slide galore! These bumpy slides go fast and the kids loved them. I found the larger play structure better for my 3 year old, but my 1.5 year old was also up there in the action.

Swing sets and tires, great for all ages.

This slide was great for toddlers. My 1.5 year old found this easier to climb up than the larger play structure.

Spray Park

The Spray Park was located right near the parking area and is a great way to cool down during those hot summer days. The spray park wasn’t open when we where there, but we will definitely be back.

Once up and running, the Spray Park is open from 10:00am to 7:00pm. Children must be supervised by an adult.

Kenyon Park Beach

The beach is smooth and sandy and the perfect location to relax while your kids play in the water, sand or at the playground which is located right beside it. I find this the perfect spot if you have younger kids as you can keep a close watch on them.

Tips & Tricks

  • Pets on leash are allowed inside the park. Pets are not allowed on the beach, playground and spray park areas.
  • Public washrooms are available on site
  • Picnic tables and benches are available throughout the park (you can kind of see them in the background of my pictures)
