If you are looking for an outdoor activity for your kids, look no further than Oyama Zipline’s Kids Aerial Play Park aka. the Monkey Play Park.
Location & Checking In
Oyama Zipline Adventure Park is a 40-minute drive from downtown Kelowna and just a 25-minute drive from downtown Vernon.
Once you arrive, find a parking spot and check in at the main office. Be sure you fill out the waiver form online prior to arriving to save some time.
Washrooms are on-site just past the main office. Once you are checked in and ready to go, you can follow the painted bananas down to the Play Park.
Monkey Play Park
The Monkey Play Park is where kids can learn new skills in a netted area of an obstacle course. It’s set up in a circuit so they can go around as many times as they want.
They can climb through ropes, across moving bridges and obstacles to get to the end of the circuit and the finale, the mini zipline. It’s was the highlight of the course for my oldest daughter.
The course is suggested for ages 3 to 11 years. My youngest daughter is 2.5 years here and she navigated through the entire course (other than the zipline) on her own. She is very adventurous, where my 4-year-old was more cautious.
Rest Area
Need a break? There is a dedicated area below the middle of the circuit for parents and kids to sit and relax by a sandbox. This area offers plenty of chairs (big and little) as well as tree stump tables for your own food or drinks.
Helmets are provided or you can bring your kids bike helmets from home.
There is a water station in the Monkey Play Park area to keep you and your littles hydrated. You can also bring your own snacks and drinks as there is plenty of seated area to enjoy a bite.
Birthday Parties
Looking for a birthday party idea? Rent the Monkey Play Park out and decorate it to your liking for your child’s next birthday party.
It’s $18 per child with a minimum of 6 children for the booking. Your party package includes 2 hours of play in the park and the private picnic area next to the Monkey Play Park for ½ hour prior and ½ hour after your scheduled time.
