Kuipers Family Fruit Farm (U-Pick Cherries and Plums)
Kuipers Family Fruit Farm offers U-pick only fruit, with cherries and plums available for the 2024 season. This winter was tough for their fruit-growing operations. Mild weather last fall and early winter was followed by a cold snap, damaging many fruit buds. As a result, they lost all apricot and peach buds. They will have cherries available in July this year, and they expect plums to be ready in September. While there won’t be apricots or peaches this year, they anticipate normal production next year. This charming fruit stand sells local, in-season fruit that is NEVER imported. They only sell what is available in BC from strawberries, blueberries, cherries, and peaches to English peas, asparagus, tomatoes, pumpkins and squash. They also offer 16 flavours of ice cream, a gumball and a toy machine (our kids loved). Their bakery has a separate entrance and they sell sandwiches, soups, salads, and fresh baked goods including Cinnamon Buns, Seasonal Fruit Pies, Waffles with Fruit Topping, buns, and bread. The full espresso bar serving hot and iced coffee drinks is my husband’s favourite part of this place as they are passionate about selling good coffee and he is passionate about drinking it. If you are driving from Summerland and heading North, you will see this fruit on the right-hand side of the highway. They sell cherries, corn, nectarines, tomatoes, berries, veggies, cucumbers, plums, apricots, pies, syrups, honey, pears, garlic, and peach shakes, peach lemonade, fresh salsa, smokies, hot dogs, ice cream, fresh bread, and so much more. They have a few picnic tables outside overlooking panoramic views of Okanagan Lake. There is also a portapotty on site.

Vernon Fruit Stands
Bright Angel Farm (U-Pick Cherries)
Their typical u-pick season for cherries begins in early July and lasts for 2-3 weeks (depending on the weather and the number of people picking). Table grapes are ready in late August. This farm is great because they supply buckets and containers to pick up and take home. Please note, that they accept cash only.

One of the most well-known orchards in the Okanagan is Davison’s. The fruit is available for u-pick when it is ripe and while supplies last. They also sell tomatoes, pickling cukes, corn, peppers, and sometimes other veggies.
