Located in Armstrong, Farmstrong Cider Company is a kid-friendly, family-run cidery that serves small batch craft cider in a cozy heritage barn. There are also life-sized dinosaur and animal statues for fun photo ops, a small playground, and plenty of space for kids to roam. Be sure to try their ice cream or homemade pie and browse the market for local sausages, cheeses, and preserves.

McLeod Park is a quiet neighborhood park in the McLeod subdivision of Spallumcheen, ideal for younger children. The playground features a low plastic climbing structure, bouncy seats, slides, and swings, all set on a soft rubber surface designed for ages 2–12. There’s also a paved basketball court, a picnic table, benches, and a large grassy area that’s mostly fenced for added peace of mind. A few trees provide some shade in the otherwise open field, and parking is available in a small lot off Lockhart Drive at Sydney Crescent.

Memorial Park Armstrong is a fantastic spot for families with kids of all ages. The playground features a variety of slides, climbing structures, and even a rock to scale—perfect for active play. Little ones will enjoy the swings and spring riders, all under the shade of tall trees that keep things cool. Bonus: washrooms are nearby, and right next door you'll find an outdoor pool and splash park for even more summer fun!
