Penticton Lakeside Resort Outdoor Rink
The Penticton Lakeside Resort’s 30’ x 50’ fully lit ice rink is now open for the season! Located on the resort’s private licensed beach, it’s available to in-house guests and the public. The rink operates daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., except during private rentals or bad weather. Public skating is free, but skate rentals are not available—be sure to bring your own. Private rentals of the rink are available.

The Penticton Museum & Archives is a family-friendly spot packed with interactive exhibits and hands-on fun. Kids will love the Hands-On Heritage Lab, where they can build earthquake-proof towers, watch a model steam engine, and explore an augmented reality sandbox. Pick up a scavenger hunt at the front desk to turn your visit into a playful adventure, and don’t forget to meet the museum’s resident snake! Located in the same building as the Penticton Public Library, it’s a great way to spend a morning or afternoon. Open Tuesday to Saturday, with entry by donation ($1 suggested for kids, $2 for adults).

Penticton Outdoor Skating Rink
The Penticton Outdoor Skating Rink, is seasonal and located north of City Hall’s parking lot. The rink, measuring 40 by 14 meters, operates daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Family skating happens on odd calendar days with no hockey, pucks, or sticks allowed—perfect for beginners and casual skaters. Even calendar days are for shinny hockey, open to all ages, with safety gear required and fair play encouraged. Bring your own skates, as rentals are not available.

Book a bike party at the Penticton Safety Village. Your facility rental includes exclusive use of outdoor spaces and access to washrooms. All other buildings must remain secured and no entry is permitted. Facility is fenced and gated but adult supervision is expected at all times. The Safety Village is a non-smoking facility and no alcohol is permitted on site. Please note we no longer have an indoor kitchen/classroom.
