The Summerland Library is a bright, family-friendly spot with free Wi-Fi, cozy reading areas, a fun kids' section, and a dedicated teen zone. It’s a great place to read, play, study, or just unwind.

Nestled in Peach Orchard Beach Park, Summerland Millennium Spray Park is a family favorite. The park features 15 exciting water play structures like water cannons and 25 ground sprays.

The Summerland Museum and Archives is a family-friendly spot where you can explore the town’s history at your own pace. Admission is by donation, and kids love the highlight upstairs, a working model railway they can start with the push of a button, complete with step stools so even the smallest visitors get a great view.

Located in Downtown Summerland, the Summerland Rotary Market runs every Sunday from June to October.

The Summerland Skatepark, located next to Summerland Secondary School, is great for skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter enthusiasts of all skill levels. This 10,000-square-foot park features a deep bowl, ramps, rails, and a variety of street-style elements that offer something for both beginners and experienced riders.

Located at the end of Haddrell Avenue in Summerland, the farm offers stunning views and u-pick strawberries.

Head to the back of their shop where you can choose from 28 flavours of ice cream. Once you have your cool treat, head outside and enjoy while sitting down at one of their many picnic tables.

The Summerland Waterfront Resort & Spa offers guests with a beautiful hotel location next to Okanagan Lake. The kids will love the seasonal outdoor pool and year-round hot tubs. All rooms are spacious and come with fully-equipped kitchens, offering the convenience of preparing family meals or you can decide to dine at the neighboring Shaughnessy Restaurant. Just a quick drive away from Peach Orchard Water Park and Playground Area or check out the Summerland Trout Hatchery & Visitor Centre for a quick tour which the kids may enjoy.

One of the more popular beaches in the South Okanagan, Sun-Oka Beach is located off Highway 97, between Penticton and Summerland. Here you will find a beautiful sandy beach stretched on Okanagan Lake, a playground, fire pits, picnic tables, drinking water fountains, a dog beach, watersport rentals, washrooms, and change rooms.

The playground at Sun-Oka Beach Provincial Park provides an exciting challenge for kids with its climbing structure featuring hanging rings, rope nets, and a slide. It’s set on a soft wood chip surface, so wearing shoes is recommended.
