The town of Kaleden is truly majestic with views overlooking Skaha Lake. Here you will find parks and playgrounds to explore, Linden Gardens to tour, the Regional Library to rent books, and the Dominion Observatory to learn from. Located just a 15-minute drive South of Penticton, the small town of Kaleden is worth the trip.

4) Explore the start at the Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory.

The Dominion Radio Astrophysical Observatory (DRAO) in Kaleden is a leading research facility for radio astronomy. 7) Explore creativity and alpacas at Folie Flower Farm.

Folie Flower Farm offers hands-on workshops and activities for kids and families, combining crafts like felting and wreath-making with fun visits to their friendly alpacas. It’s a perfect place to get creative and learn about these amazing animals!

8) Experience farm fun at Sagebrush Ranch.

Sagebrush Ranch offers a variety of activities for families, including farm tours, lessons, and seasonal events like their Haunted Halloween Trail. Kids can also enjoy Summer Pony Camps or celebrate with one of their fun Party Packages. The ranch provides horse boarding and welcomes visitors to learn about and interact with their animals.

When approaching the park, you will soon realize why it’s called Hotel Park. The location is home to the shell of a former hotel, which is a great opportunity for photos. Located right on the lake, the park offers picnic tables and a nice grassy area.

11) Climb, swing, and explore at the Kaleden Elementary School Playground.
