Rolling hills perched over beautiful Okanagan Lake draw thousands of visitors each year to experience many activities with your family.

Location

Known for breathtaking views of the vineyards, the Naramata Town Centre is a short 15-minute drive from the city of Penticton.

Parks & Playgrounds

Visit Manitou Beach and Park on Old Main Road where there are picnic tables, a kid’s playground, and volleyball courts. The park also has updated washrooms, changerooms, an outdoor shower, footwash station and water bottle filling station.

Another great playground to bring the kids to is at the Naramata Elementary School. There are four swings, two slides, monkey bars and several play structures to climb.

Outdoor Play

Many locals and tourists will come to Naramata to take the moderate 45-minute hike up to the Naramata Creek Waterfalls. There are many bridges and viewing points along the way. As you get closer to the waterfalls, the climb will become steeper. The hike is ideal for ages 4 and up. Be sure to stay on the trail as there is poison ivy along the walk.

Looking to SUP? Sun n’ Sup is the only full service Paddleboard Shop in the South Okanagan. Their shop provides private, group and youth paddleboard lessons or you can rent a paddleboard or kayak to take out on the lake.

Eat & Drink

Stop by C.C. Orchards to pick up some of their wonderful cherry products, or if you want to get your hands dirty you can pick your own bucket. They sell everything from fresh cherries to dried cherries, preserves, cherry juice, cherry soap, shampoo, vinegar’s, wood and custom gift baskets.

On Wednesdays, head to Manitou Park and explore the Naramata Community Market. It’s the best place to enjoy locally grown, crafted, or produced art, baked goods, and garden delicacies. Enjoy music and performers, or just hang out with your friends, neighbours, and be a part of the scene.

Learning

Stop in to the Naramata Regional Library to take out a book, magazine or dvd. You can also register to join an online storytime through one of the many library branches.
