Sarson’s Beach Park is beautiful small neighbourhood park that features a small a sandy beach with a designated swimming area in Okanagan Lake. The water is usually calm, making it a relaxing spot for a dip during the warmer months.

Rotary Beach Park in Kelowna is a popular lakeside destination offering a sandy beach, a designated swimming area, and a playground located directly on the beach. The park features lots of grassy areas shaded by mature trees, picnic tables, and convenient amenities such as washrooms and on-site water sport rentals.

Strathcona Beach Park in Kelowna is a scenic and quieter lakeside spot with a soft sandy beach and designated swimming area, making it a great choice for families seeking a more relaxed day by the water. The park includes a playground for kids, washrooms, and wide open grassy areas ideal for play or a picnic under the shade of mature trees.

CNR Wharf is located in Gellatly Bay Aquatic Park. It's a historic lakeside destination with a wooden boardwalk, diving tower, zipline, and dock, making it a go-to spot for swimmers. A small sandy area offers a place to relax and enjoy the lake views. No lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk.

W.J. Tuey Regional Park is a peaceful riverside spot just a short drive down Waterwheel Street, which turns into a dirt road. It’s a popular hangout for locals looking to cool off, with a small sandy beach and grassy areas offering partial shade from tall trees. There’s a spacious parking lot and a simple swing set with two traditional swings — a nice option for younger kids. While dogs aren’t allowed in the main park area, there is a designated dog-friendly zone to the west.

One of the more popular beaches in the South Okanagan, Sun-Oka Beach is located off Highway 97, between Penticton and Summerland. Here you will find a beautiful sandy beach stretched on Okanagan Lake, a playground, fire pits, picnic tables, drinking water fountains, a dog beach, watersport rentals, washrooms, and change rooms.

Located along Lakeshore Drive, Okanagan Beach is a popular destination offering nearly a kilometre of sandy shoreline, a designated swimming area, rest rafts, kiddie slides, picnic tables, benches, shade trees, nearby seasonal washrooms, fire pits (when permitted), free parking, and access to fun local attractions like the S.S. Sicamous Marine Heritage Park and Splash BC Wibit Water Park.

Marina Way Beach is located on Okanagan Lake, east of the Penticton Lakeside Resort near the Okanagan Marina. Although the beach is smaller, it still provides a nice swimming area with a shallow entry into the water with a kiddie slide setup in the summer months.

Located at the south end of Penticton, Skaha Lake Beach is a great spot for a full day by the lake, with playgrounds, concession stands, and washrooms at both ends. A scenic walkway runs along the beach, offering panoramic views of Skaha Lake. The shallow water and reddish sand make it ideal for young kids to play, though natural shade is limited. For a break from the sun, Skaha Lake Park is right next door with plenty of trees and grassy areas to relax in.
