With a wood chip surface, nearby benches, and centrally located washrooms, it’s a convenient spot for families. Surrounded by fields for soccer, rugby, and more, it’s a great place to pair playtime with outdoor sports.

Dunant Park is a cozy neighborhood park located in a quiet residential area. The playground offers a variety of equipment, making it a great spot for younger kids to play. The side-by-side slides were fun, along with the teeter totter and swings. If your child enjoys climbing, there are monkey bars, and other climbing elements.

Elliot Avenue Park is a small neighbourhood park located on a quiet residential street in Peachland. The playground is simple and geared toward younger kids, with a slide, balance steps, and a couple of swings. There’s also a grassy area that’s great for running around or enjoying a casual picnic.

A favorite in downtown Salmon Arm, Fletcher Park offers a large playground, splash park, grassy space, and picnic tables. Kids love the tall slide and swings, while parents can unwind in the shade near the spray park. Washrooms are available on-site.

Set on a hillside with views of Skaha Lake and surrounding vineyards, this park offers a natural woodchip playground with a slide connecting two play zones, along with swings and a teeter-totter. While there’s little shade throughout the park, families can find some relief under the gazebo. On-site washrooms with change tables and picnic areas make it a convenient stop for families with young kids.

Gellatly Nut Farm Regional Park in West Kelowna is a scenic lakeside park with century-old nut trees, shaded walking paths, and picnic areas. Families can enjoy the quiet beach, explore the heritage orchard, and let kids play on the playground with slides, swings, and climbing features.

Giant’s Head Mountain Park in Summerland offers a mix of family-friendly and more challenging trails with stunning summit views. You’ll find benches and look out areas along the way. Drive-up access is available seasonally for a shorter walk. At the top, enjoy 360° views, lookout tubes, and a time capsule. Amenities include washrooms, picnic spots, and a bike repair station. Dogs are welcome on leash.

Girouard Park is a great little neighbourhood spot with a solid playground set up for kids of all ages. There’s a mix of climbing structures, monkey bars, swings, slides, and a wavy climbing wall that’s a fun challenge for adventurous climbers. The playground is set on wood chips and has lots of open space for running around. One of the nicest features of this park is the small creek that runs through it.

Granby Park is a quiet, fenced neighborhood playground in Penticton that’s perfect for younger kids and not widely known. It features two bucket swings, two traditional swings, spring riders, slides, monkey bars, and climbing elements, all set on a mix of grass and woodchips. There’s partial shade, benches, and a grassy area ideal for picnics. Street parking is available nearby, but note that there are no public washrooms on site.

Grindrod Park, just 10 minutes north of Enderby off Highway 97A, is a scenic riverside spot. Located along the shores of Shuswap River, the park features a playground, picnic tables, fire pits, and a gravel parking area. The park offers river access with a sandy beach. While inviting, the river can have strong currents and sudden drop-offs, so water safety is key. Shaded by mature trees, the open grassy areas are great for picnics.
