Family Drop-In Programs

West Kelowna StrongStart is a free preschool program primarily focused on 0-5-year-old children and their parents/caregivers. Younger siblings are also welcome! Families may drop into the program whenever it meets their needs. The program is offered at no charge.

Indoor Play

At Just 4 Fun Playcentre, families of all ages find endless enjoyment. Their 4-level play structure boasts obstacle courses, slides, and viewing pods. For toddlers, there’s a special zone just for them. Plus, the excitement continues with a bouncy castle and a 20-foot inflatable slide. It’s the ultimate spot for indoor fun. A haven for water lovers, this facility boasts a 25-meter pool, hot tub, and steam room. At Johnson Bentley Memorial Aquatic Centre, you’ll also find a warm soaking pool with a beach entrance, aquatic wheelchairs, a client transport lift, and family-friendly change rooms.

For gymnastics enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels, West Kelowna Gymnastix has something to offer. Their wide-ranging programs include summer camps, classes, drop-in sessions, and school programs.


Eat & Drink

From May to November, families can enjoy picking pears, plums, and apples at the orchards, as well as exploring a lush garden with fresh vegetables and herbs at Paynter’s Fruit Market. The farm also offers 32 flavors of ice cream and a wide selection of local BC-made products, including cheeses, dairy items, and drinks.


Parks & Playgrounds

While exploring Gellatly Nut Farm Regional Park, make sure to visit its waterfront playground. This spot offers stunning views of Okanagan Lake, complete with multiple slides, a climbable tunnel, and ample space for running around. Surrounding benches and picnic tables provide the perfect setting to enjoy snacks or lunch amidst the beauty of the park.

Kinsmen Athletic Park’s playground becomes a bustling hub of joy on weekends, surrounded by the lively atmosphere of soccer and baseball fields. It boasts an array of fun equipment, including monkey bars, rope climbing, a slide, a large swing, and a spinning seat. The playground is perfectly complemented by grassy spaces, inviting children to run and play freely.

To cool down in the summer months, bring the family to Kids Care Spray Park. This spray park offers plenty of grassy area surrounding, so you can relax for the day while the kids splash around. In addition, there are washrooms, change rooms, picnic tables, benches, and a bike rack.

The Westbank Regional Library is a vibrant community hub offering an array of programs designed to engage all ages, including baby time, storytime, family story time, and LEGO builders. The library provides access to many resources such as books, music, movies, and more for borrowing.
