Kangaroo Creek Farm is a family-friendly animal farm located in Kelowna, offering visitors the chance to get up close and personal with the farm animals in their natural habitat. Enjoy activities such as feeding the animals, taking a tour, or exploring the grounds. Everyone is sure to have a memorable experience!
Location/Parking
The Farm is located near the North End of the Kelowna Airport, at the junction of Old Vernon Road and Postill Drive. Upon arrival, there is plenty of parking available. Be sure to dress appropriately on hot days, wearing hats and sunscreen.
About Kangaroo Creek Farm
At Kangaroo Creek Farm, visitors can learn all about kangaroos and wallabies while they wander amongst them. Their knowledgeable staff is available to answer questions you have about their species, habitat, breeding, diet, housing, and general physiology.
Kangaroo Creek Farm is divided into three distinct areas for visitors to explore. On the right-hand side, you can wander through the trails and see the free-roaming kangaroos, emus, bunnies, capybaras, and even a porcupine! In the middle, you’ll find washrooms, picnic tables, and food to purchase. On the left-hand side, you can get up close and personal with the kangaroos and feed them, as well as visit the goats.
The Animals
Home to an array of animals, from the largest type of kangaroo, the Red Kangaroo, to the mid-sized Common Wallaroo and Bennett Wallaby, and the smallest wallaby species, the Dama Wallaby. The kangaroos are social animals, and visitors can get free leaves to hand-feed them.
There are also emus, peacocks, fancy chickens, goats, parrots, a baby albino wallaby, baby kangaroos, potbellied pigs, and capybara.
Farm Rules
- Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult who is nearby
- All visitors are asked to move slowly, no running, and to only pet the kangaroos on their backs
- No “boxing” with roos or picking them up
- Do not chase the ducks, chickens, or peacocks
- Do not enter the animal pens while eating
- Smoking and alcohol, including e-cigarettes, are also prohibited
- Visitors are asked to treat all the animals and birds with respect
- Do not bring any dogs or other personal pets into the animal enclosures
Birthday Parties
Kangaroo Creek Farm is the perfect place for a birthday party! Public seating is available for picnics and self-catered birthday parties. However, they ask that all visitors tidy up after themselves and that parents supervise their children at all times. There is no extra charge to hold your party at the farm.
