City Park in downtown Kelowna is a popular lakefront destination with sandy beaches, large grassy areas, a playground, splash park, skatepark, tennis and basketball courts, sand volleyball, soccer fields, lawn bowling, and public washrooms. A paved waterfront walkway makes it easy to stroll or bike along Okanagan Lake, and the shallow swim area at Hot Sands Beach is perfect for families.

Situated along the pebbly shores of Okanagan Lake, Coral Beach Park offers a spot to swim, launch kayaks, or enjoy a picnic by the water. The park also features a small playground with swings, a slide, a climbing structure, a multi-use sport court, and on-site washrooms.

Powell Beach Park in Trout Creek, Summerland is a great park with a sandy beach, picnic tables, tennis courts, and a baseball diamond. Families will find two playground areas—one with swings and another with a small play structure—plus seasonal washrooms.

Rotary Beach Park in Kelowna is a popular lakeside destination featuring a sandy beach, designated swimming area, and a playground for children right on the beach. Spacious grassy areas and picnic tables provide comfortable spots to set up camp for the day. Convenient amenities include washrooms and on-site water sport rentals.

Pritchard Park & Beach is a spacious, family-friendly beach park with a sandy shoreline, shallow swimming areas, a long dock, two sand volleyball courts, a playground, washrooms, and ample grassy space for picnics and play. Located in a peaceful lakeside neighborhood, this park and beach is a gem worth a visit.

McPherson Park in West Kelowna is a great little spot for families, especially those with school-aged kids. The playground is built for children aged 5 to 12 and is packed with challenging climbing features, rope bridges, monkey bars, and multiple slides — perfect for kids who love to stay active and test their coordination. Note, there is no washroom at this playground.

Girouard Park is a great little neighbourhood spot with a solid playground set up for kids of all ages. There’s a mix of climbing structures, monkey bars, swings, slides, and a wavy climbing wall that’s a fun challenge for adventurous climbers. The playground is set on wood chips and has lots of open space for running around. One of the nicest features of this park is the small creek that runs through it.

Selby Park is a peaceful neighborhood park located in Penticton’s West Bench area, named after Eric Selby—the first veteran to settle here under the Veterans’ Land Act following World War II. The park features a unique gathering table, steel sculptures, and a commemorative wall that tell the story of the veterans who helped build the community. The playground area, includes a climbing structures, slide, swings, grassy area and more.

Located near Naramata Elementary School, Spirit Park features a colorful playground with double slides, an angled climbing wall, a tunnel, and easy-access stairs. Nearby, you’ll also find tennis and pickleball courts.

Heritage Park features a playground with climbing structures, slides, and swings, plus a splash pad, picnic tables, and lots of open grassy space to play. With views of Okanagan Lake and public washrooms, the Peachland Museum, and local shops and restaurants just across the street, it’s a great spot for a family outing.
