Getting to Off the Grid Organic Winery

Located in West Kelowna, the winery is easy to find by following Lower Glenrosa Road and Glencoe Road. You’ll know you’ve arrived when you spot an old pickup truck welcoming you at the entrance.

Drive up the long driveway to the gravel parking lot, where you’ll find plenty of parking. Once you step out, the excitement begins—kids will immediately want to check out the animals! But before heading to the farm tour, stop by the wine shop first. Here, you can pick up some goat food and get an overview of the tour.
Wine Shop & Tasting Experience

In the wine shop, you can taste wine, purchase merchandise and even buy food to feed the goats.

They have tables outdoors for tasting, which are shaded with misters – perfect for the summer heat!

Wining and Dining on the Outdoor Patio

Enjoy wine on the patio and you can order food from their food truck pizzeria, Roots Sustainable Eats Pizza. There are over 10 tables to choose from, plus miniature chairs for the kids to join you – plenty of shade was available.

One of the animal tour stops is located in the dining area behind the fence so the kids can roam around and feed the goats while you relax and enjoy some wine and food.
Self-Guided Farm Tour
The self-guided farm tour at Off the Grid Organic Winery features seven stops, each with educational signs about the animals. Kids will love meeting the friendly farm residents while learning about their roles at the winery!

Farm Tour Stop #1 – Mini Goats Pen: These goats keep the grass roof trimmed and the hillside free of pine needles.
Farm Tour Stop #2 – Hillside Pen: The largest goats live in this pen. They have access to 3 sections on the hillside, so they can keep all these areas clean and clear of debris.
Farm Tour Stop #3 – Rabbits: Has rabbit town on the left and chickenville on the right. Did you know all the manure from their farm is added to their compost and is used to fertilize their vineyards?
Farm Tour Stop #4 – Goats: In this pen are the most rambunctious goats so they have a whole playground to keep them busy. They are called the Farm Band.

Farm Tour Stop #5 – Retired Goats: They are a little crabby and prefer to live alone.
Farm Tour Stop #6 – Rams: They are very friendly and like head scratches and attention but do not enter their pen.
Farm Tour Stop #7 -Ewe’s, Sheep, Lambs: They help mow the groundcovers in the vineyard.
Family Fun Tips
- It can get hot in the summer, so be sure to bring hats and water
- Never eat, drink, or put things in your mouth in animal areas
- There are two washrooms available – no change table
- You can book private events on their property
