All aboard! Kids can play on a little wooden train made out of wine barrels outside the winery. We took my niece there who was 13 at the time and they offered her a choice between a freezie or a sucker. Needless to say, she was quite happy while we were wine tasting.

Carcajou Fruit Stand
This family farm grows and packs sweet cherries of the Okanagan, therefore their harvest usually runs from mid-July until the end of August. They sell bulk cherries at farmgate prices, where they pick, hydro-cooled, and custom pack boxes each week for pick-up on Friday afternoon. Malcolm at Malcolm Fruit and Flower Pedlar will be operating their fruit stand on weekday afternoons at 13218 Victoria Road North (right beside the thrift store).

This community/school facility is located at Summerland Secondary School. The Theatre has 295 seats and accommodates concerts, live theatre, movies, speakers and regular school drama productions.

Dickinson Family Farm produces some of the sweetest and juiciest cherries that are grown in Summerland. They grow six different varieties of cherries and have over 100 trees on-site. Don’t forget to stop at and get a picture of the World’s Tallest Tripod Orchard Ladder.

We love visiting Dirty Laundry Vineyard in Summerland when our family is visiting from out of town. The winery offers kid-friendly food and drink options as well as dessert – Gelato and Sorbetto (both Vegan and Gluten-Free)! Their outdoor patio offers beautiful views of Summerland, you may even see the Summerland Steam Train go by.
