The Okanagan is brimming with fantastic indoor and outdoor activities to enjoy during the chilly months. We’ve put together a list of over 180 winter activities and things to do in the area, all updated for this season.

Armstrong
1) Enjoy Public Ice Skating at the SUNBELT Sports Centre from September 3, 2025, to April 5, 2026, with options like Family Skate and Parent & Tot Skate. No skate rentals are available, so remember to bring your own skates.

7) Enjoy FREE Family Floor Time at Hassen Arena on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30-9:30 am. The program runs from September 16, 2025, to June 30, 2026. Families are welcome to bring their own clean bikes, scooters, balls, and indoor shoes to burn off some energy! (Note: Cancellations on Nov 11, Dec 25 and Jan 1)
8) Shop for unique, high-quality children’s clothing, shoes, accessories, and maternity wear at Sea Star Kids Boutique.

9) Get moving with Indoor Walking at Hassen Arena on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:30-9:30 am (6.25 laps = 1 km, 10.25 laps = 1 mile). Free with clean shoes, running through August 7, 2026.
10) Join the Santa Skate on December 14, 2025 at Sunbelt Sports Centre for a festive family skate with hot chocolate, candy canes, and photo ops with Santa—all proceeds will be donated to the Armstrong Community Food Bank!
11) Stop for a coffee and bite to eat at PV BLVD Coffee or Wild Oak Cafe.

12) Celebrate the holiday season at Armstrong’s Downtown Light Up: Light the Night on Friday, November 28, 2025.
