Family Sundays – Kelowna Art Gallery

Join the Kelowna Art Gallery for Family Sundays, where you and your family can join Gallery staff to take part in an enjoyable and exciting art activity based on one of their current exhibitions. Create a unique piece of artwork to take home with you whilst having fun exploring materials and techniques.

Please take a moment to review their program guidelines below:
- Pre-registration is required and mask-wearing is welcomed.
- Time slots are 45 minutes long and tables are available to book at 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00.
- A maximum of 6 per table. Larger groups will need to book more than 1 table.
- The Gallery will not accommodate drop-in participants.
- Family Sundays are designed to be for the whole family. Children must be accompanied by an adult and you can all join in on the fun!
Upcoming Schedule:
March 5 | Blank Canvas
We are going to swap out paper for raw canvas, a warm and natural traditional painting surface. Our artwork will be inspired by Nasim Pirhadi’s painting in our We Are Countless exhibition.
March 12 | Hang Your Art!
We are going to arrange our artwork in a hanging piece today following the method of Julia Pearson and her exhibition in our Glass Gallery
March 19 | The Shape of Flowers
Come and be inspired by the textile pieces in Shannon Bool’s work in our main gallery. We will use textile materials to make our own spring themed compositions.
March 26 | Band-Aids, Straws and Popsicle Sticks!
This Sunday we are gathering some familiar, everyday objects for you to use in creative and unexpected ways.
