Giant’s Head Mountain Park
Choose to drive to the parking lot near the summit and then walk, hike or cycle the last bit of the trail (approximately 10-15 minutes) or park at the bottom and hike the entire trail (approximately 1-2 hour hike). At the top of Giant’s Head, you will see panoramic views of Okanagan Lake, stretching to Penticton and across to Naramata. Be sure to bring a water bottle.

Kettle Valley Steam Railway
Book a 90-minute ride on the Steam Locomotive where you will cross the only preserved section of the historic railway. Please visit the website for fares and schedules.

Summerland Ornamental Gardens
Suitable for walks, hikes, picnics, and garden research. As you stroll through the Gardens you will enjoy views of Okanagan Lake, Giant’s Head Mountain, and the Trout Creek Trestle railroad bridge. The gardens are open to visitors year-round and during the growing season, they offer personalized guided tours of the gardens in exchange for a donation.

Summerland Skatepark
The Summerland Skatepark is located just east of the Summerland Middle School. The Skatepark includes flat bars, flat ledges, small stair set, a cantilevered quarterpipe turnaround, a medium stair set with flat-down hubba ledge and handrail, an up-gap manual pad inset into a slappy bank, a drop-in/turnaround bank, snake run feature with waterfalls, escalating sections, hops and bowled pockets.
