The town of Kaleden is truly majestic with views overlooking Skaha Lake. Here you will find parks and playgrounds to explore, Linden Gardens to tour, the Regional Library to rent books, and the Dominion Observatory to learn from.
Location
Located just a 15-minute drive South of Penticton, the small town of Kaleden is worth the trip.
Parks & Playgrounds
Spend the day at Pioneer Park, which is situated right on a sandy public beach on Skaha Lake. Amenities at this park include a gazebo, picnic area, BBQ area, volleyball, pickleball, tennis, and basketball courts, public washrooms, and a playground.
Explore the grounds of Kaleden’s Hotel Park. When approaching the park, you will soon realize why it’s called Hotel Park. The location is home to the shell of a former hotel, which is a great opportunity for photos. Located right on the lake, the park offers picnic tables and a nice grassy area.
Outdoor Play
Walk, bike or run along the Kettle Valley Railway Trail along Skaha Lake. You can easily access the KVR Trail from Pioneer Park.
