In September, when the warm summer days come to an end, it’s a great opportunity to enjoy Fall activities such as visiting farms and zoos in the Okanagan.

We’ve listed 9 farms and petting zoos for you to visit with your family this Fall.


1. Davison Orchards Country Village – Vernon

Davison Orchards, Vernon

Experience the farm at Davison Orchards! Make sure you stop in and say hi to all the animals on-site. They have goats, sheep, chickens, pot-bellied pigs, guinea fowl, a donkey, and a pony. Afterward, kids can run and play on one acre at the Kid’s Corral Playground.

2. Don-O-Ray Farm Adventure – Kelowna

At Don-O-Ray Farm Adventure you will find a petting zoo, maze, and market all in one location. You can feed their pony, goats, and ducks, while watching the Silkie chickens and bunnies in action! Have the kids run through their hedge maze, get a free airbrush tattoo, and finish it off with ice cream, cold drink, or fresh produce at the Don-O-Ray Farm Market.

3. GottaGoat Farm – Penticton

GottaGoat Farm, Penticton

Book an experience to visit the goats at GottaGoat Farm. Located up Green Mountain Road towards Apex Mountain Resort in Penticton. Not only do you get to see the goats, but you can also comb them, pet them and watch them in their environment. They also have a few chickens to say hello to.

4. Historic O’Keefe Ranch – Vernon

Stop and visit the farm animals at Historic O’Keefe Ranch, a favourite attraction among the kids. Here you will see sheep, miniature goats, and birds all waiting for a visit.


5. McMillan Farms – Kelowna (Open in the Fall Only)

McMillan Farms, Kelowna

Visit their 3-acre corn maze, jump on a hayride to tour their farm and see the wild animals, stop by their petting farm, or try slinging fruit out of a giant slingshot. This is great place for all ages to experience all these unique activities and more.

6. Kangaroo Creek Farm – Kelowna

The Log Barn 1912 is the perfect family-friendly place to stop for a visit located along Highway 97 in Armstrong. Stop and feed the goats, take some pictures, or enjoy food, drinks, ice cream, and more!

8. Linden Gardens | Kaleden

Linden Gardens, Kaleden

Known for their beautiful Gardens and the Frog City Cafe, they now have a few farm animals on site. Visit their mom and baby goat, 2 pigs, and chickens.

9. Gold Fox Acres | Lumby

Gold Fox Acres is a working family-run hobby farm that decided to share their love for animals with others through their weekend petting zoo. You will find horses, bunnies, goats, llamas, ducks, and more.
