Armstrong Fall Activities

1) Pick a pumpkin at the Armstrong Pumpkin Patch, open October 1-31.

2) Stop by The Village Cheese Co. to savor one of the cheesiest grilled sandwiches, indulge in their delicious real fruit ice cream, and watch the cheese makers in action through their viewing window (cheese making is available on select days of the week).

3) Visit the Log Barn 1912 to feed the goats, take pictures with dinosaur statues, and enjoy treats from the candy shop and bakery!

4) Shop at Sea Star Kids Boutique, where you’ll find preloved children’s clothing, shoes, and maternity wear.

5) Explore 8 acres of stunning sunflowers at the 4th Annual Bloom Sunflower Festival from September 20-29, 2024.

6) Visit the newly renovated Armstrong Lion’s Park.

7) Load up your skateboard, bikes, scooters, and enjoy a day at Armstrong’s Skatepark.

8) Visit the Armstrong Library starting September 16, 2024, and pick up S.T.E.A.M. Adventure Kits. There will be a new kit every two weeks (while supplies last).

9) Enjoy public ice skating at SUNBELT Sports Centre. The season starts September 15, 2024.

10) Stop for a coffee and bite to eat at PV BLVD Coffee or Wild Oak Cafe.

11) Rent roller skates at Hassen Arena and enjoy an afternoon or evening of fun, starting Friday, October 4, 2024.

12) Visit Armstrong on Thanksgiving Weekend, October 11-14, 2024, for their Annual Harvest Pumpkin Festival. Activities will include scarecrows in the street, live music and entertainment, local artisans, the great pumpkin weigh-in, and a pumpkin catapult.

13) Make a trip to Memorial Park Playground for some family fun.

14) Burn off some energy and enjoy Free Family Floor Time at Hassen Arena on Thursdays and Thursdays from 7:30-9:30 am. The program runs from September 17 to December 31, 2024, with cancellations on December 25 and 26.


Enderby Fall Activities

15) Enjoy outdoor play at Barnes Park where you will find a skateboard park, outdoor gym, playground, and picnic area.

16) Bring your family and enjoy free public skating at Enderby Memorial Arena starting September 16, 2024. Don’t forget helmets and warm gloves!

17) Dress up and bring your little girl to the dad and daughter dance on November 15, 2024.

18) Explore the Kingfisher Interpretive Centre with self-guided walks that offer fun facts about the ecosystem and forest. The site is open to the public during daylight hours, but note that the buildings are closed for scientific research throughout September and October.

19) Support local by exploring the Enderby Farmers Market, open on Fridays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm until November 15, 2024.


Kaleden Fall Activities

20) Explore Linden Gardens with a kid-friendly scavenger hunt. While there visit their pigs, goats, chickens, and bunnies. Afterward, stop at the café for delicious home-baked items served all day. Open Wednesdays to Sundays until September 30.

21) Spend the morning at the Kaleden Hotel Park, the home to the shell of a former hotel. It’s located right on the lake and offers picnic tables and a nice grassy area for the kids to run around.

22) After your visit to the Hotel Park, walk, bike, or take a stroll or bike along the KVR trail which connects Penticton to Okanagan Falls.

23) Stop at Pioneer Park to enjoy the playground and surrounding areas.

24) Explore the Haunted Halloween Trail at Sagebrush Ranch, open October 3-31, and wander through a forest filled with lights, cobwebs, spiders, fog, and spooktacular music. Venture into Clown Town or stick to Lollipop Lane, Witches Coven, Pirates Cove, and more, with new displays added every year for a haunting experience!

25) Visit the Kaleden Library, open Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, where you can enjoy preschool story time and after-school Lego sessions on select days and times.

26) Introduce kids aged 5 to 9 to an exciting adventure at Okanagan Warriors Adventure with a kid’s obstacle course featuring twenty thrilling obstacles.


Kelowna Fall Activities

27) Bring the kids to Don-O-Ray Farm Adventure where they can feed animals at their petting zoo, run through their maze, and get a free airbrush tattoo with admission. Next door, pick a pumpkin at Don-O-Ray Farm Market. Don-O-Ray Farm Adventure is open from September 3 to October 31, 2024, from Fridays to Mondays.

34) Reach new heights at Beyond the Crux indoor climbing gym, offering bouldering, top-rope, and lead climbing for all skill levels, along with courses for added guidance.

35) Enjoy a day of indoor family fun at Energyplex, where you’ll find a huge climbing structure, toddler area, arcade room, rock climbing, laser tag, and more!

36) Discover Play Area in Kelowna, a NEW indoor playground designed to engage children in fun and educational play.

37) Join the City of Kelowna for their Family Monster Bash at the Capital News Centre on Sunday, October 27, 2024. This free event is fun for the entire family! 

38) Journey into the world of aviation at the new KF Centre for Excellence.

39) Spend the day at Scandia Golf & Games where you will enjoy mini-golf, go-karts, batting cages, and an arcade. Save up those tickets and pick your prize at the end!

43) Learn to throw an axe from a trainer at Axe Monkeys.

40) Solve the clues and escape at Exit Kelowna 

41) Try indoor rocking climbing at Gneiss Climbing.

42) Spend the morning and early afternoon exploring Kangaroo Creek Farm, where you can meet kangaroos, wallabies, sugar gliders, emus, parrots, snakes, goats, chickens, and more! They’re open daily in September from 10 am to 3 pm, and in October, you can visit on Saturdays and Sundays until October 14, 2024.

44) Experience indoor laser tag battles and enjoy a wide selection of arcade games at Planet Lazer 

45) Walk up Knox Mountain for beautiful views of Okanagan Lake and Kelowna.

46) Visit a kid-friendly winery, brewery, or cidery.

47) Visit a park or playground to burn off some energy. Some of our favourites are Quilchena, Ben Lee and City Park.

49) Find low ropes, kids’ zip lines, Frisbee golf, and more at Myra Canyon Adventure Park.

50) Sign the kids up for a variety of lessons, classes, or programs for kids at the YMCA Okanagan. They offer Family Play Time at the YMCA, check out more drop-in programs in Kelowna here.

51) Make a splash at the H2O Adventure & Fitness Centre. From drop-in programs to swim lessons to child and youth recreation, kids will love participating in all their activities.

52) Choose from over 800 board games for a family-fun night at Twice the Dice.

53) Take a self-guided tour with interpretive displays of Father Pandosy’s Mission – Open 7 days a week until October 31, 2023.

54) Drop in at Work of Art Pottery Studio where you can choose a bisque piece to paint.

55) Relax and take a stroll through the Kasugai Japanese Gardens to see koi fish.

56) Follow the trail at Mill Creek Regional Park where you can enjoy views of the waterfalls.

57) Plan your visit to the Kelowna Museums! View an exhibition, take part in one of their activities, or book a camp.

58) Book lessons or a cage rental at the Yardhouse Baseball – Kelowna’s only indoor baseball and softball training facility.

59) Join the Kelowna Art Gallery for Family Sundays, where you and your family can take part in an art activity based on one of their current exhibitions. Make sure to pre-register to secure your spot.

60) Drop in for ninja or gymnastics or host a birthday party at Monkey Academy.

61) Jump around at Airhouse Kelowna! They have a fantastic drop-in schedule and offer Pro-D Day camps, winter break camps, and lessons.

62) Visit Mission Creek’s Regional Park to explore the Greenway Trails and watch the salmon spawning in September.

63) Purchase fresh produce or crafts at the Kelowna Farmers’ and Crafters’ Market. They are open on Wednesdays and Saturdays, from April to October.

64) Catch a kid-friendly flick at one of many movie theatres in Kelowna.

65) Join Impact Events at their annual Scarecrow Festival on September 21, 2024! This fall event includes a Scarecrow building competition, local vendors, local performers, food, and fun for everyone! 

66) Visit Kelowna Fruit n Veggies to explore their massive 5-acre corn maze. You can spend 1-2 hours of family fun playing their Farm scene investigation game that will keep you on the hunt for hidden clues in their 10-foot tall corn maze from September 22, 2024 – October 31, 2024. 


Keremeos Fall Activities

67) Stop and pick a pumpkin from the many fruit stands and orchards in Keremeos – their displays in the fall are worth the drive!

68) Rent discs from the Similkameen Recreation Centre and play a game of Disc Golf at their 9-hole course in Pine Park.

69) Visit the Similkameen Recreation Centre which offers activities such as bowling, a fitness room, squash and racquetball courts, indoor climbing wall.

70) Explore the grounds and displays at the Grist Mill and Gardens. The site is home to a 145-year-old water-wheel-powered flour mill, restaurant, and gift shop. Join them on September 28 & 29, 2024, where they will be hosting the Heritage Fall Fair.

71) Visit Lower Similkameen Early Years and take part in one of their many programs supporting families, parents, and caregivers with children ages 0-6 years.


Lake Country Fall Activities

72) Pick a pumpkin from Gambell Farms pumpkin patch – you can choose from over 8 varieties.

73) Join Lake Country Family Place for Family Gym Time on Sundays.

74) Bring your tots (ages 0-5) to Parent and Tot Drop-in Playtime on Thursdays at the Boys & Girls Club in Lake Country.

75) Children can climb, jump, and play at the Monkey Play Park at Oyama Zipline Adventure Park. Open on weekends until October 13, 2024, please book in advance.

76) Visit Folktale Cider for some family fun! They have a jumbo jumper, a kids’ zipline, and a picnic area. Open September and October 2024.

77) Take part in Halloween in Lake Country on October 31, 2024! There will be hot chocolate and hot dogs served by the Lion’s Club.

78) Stop at Gatzke’s Orchard for fresh fruit, ice cream, or one of their delicious bakery items.

79) Bring your skateboard, bikes, scooters, and more to Lake Country Skatepark.

80) Visit one of the many parks and playgrounds in Lake Country.

81) Take part in free, family-friendly public skating for all ages starting October 23, 2024, with skates every Wednesday from 7-8 pm and Sundays from 3:00-4:30 pm or 6:15-7:45 pm.


Lumby Fall Activities

82) Climb, slide, and play at Oval Park Playground.

83) Book an appointment to see the animals at Gold Fox Acres – open October 1-31, weather permitting.

84) Support local and head to the Lumby Public Market, which takes place every Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm until Thanksgiving weekend.

85) Looking for caffeine? Jitter Beans Coffee House is the place to stop with a large seating area indoors to cozy up and enjoy a hot beverage.

86) Drop-in for Lumby Good Times Together on Tuesdays from 9:30 am – 12:30 pm.This program is free for parents/caregivers with their children aged 0-6.

87) Bring your skateboard, bikes, scooters, and more to Lumby Skatepark.


Naramata Fall Activities

88) Hike up to the Naramata Creek Pak Waterfall for a scenic outdoor adventure.

89) Bring your bikes and ride the Naramata Pump Track along Naramata Road.

90) Explore the playground at Manitou Beach and Park, complete with a large grassy area, picnic tables, and public washrooms.

91) Take the kids to the Naramata Elementary School Playground – picnic tables, play structures, a grassy area, and loads of fun!

92) Stop by the Naramata General Store for a sandwich, snack, or ice cream treat.

93) Drop in at the Naramata Elementary School Gymnasium on Fridays for Family Fun Fridays.

94) Bike or walk the Kettle Valley Rail Trail from Naramata to the Little Tunnel for panoramic views of Okanagan Lake. You can park at the KVR Smethurst Road Parking Lot and take the 4.4 km trail to the lookout point.


Okanagan Falls Activities

Vaseux Lake Wildlife Centre

95) Go for a fun walk at Vaseux Lake Wildlife Centre and Bird Sanctuary—keep an eye out for wildlife along the way!

96) Treat yourself to a delicious stop at Tickleberry’s Ice Cream, known for its wide variety of ice cream, fudge, and a charming gift shop.

97) Pack a picnic and let the kids play at Christie Memorial Park —with benches to relax on, a playground, and plenty of space to play!

98) Meet your friends for fun, exercise, and teamwork at Gym Night at the Okanagan Falls gymnasium on Tuesdays from September 17-November 26, 2024. No session on October 8.

99) Drop the kids off at Open Gym at the Okanagan Falls Gymnasium on Wednesdays (September 25 – December 4) for semi-structured play while you enjoy a workout at the Zen and Fitness Centre.

100) Navigate your way through the brand-new corn maze at the Apple Bin, perfect for all ages! Open Saturdays and Sundays in October.

101) Explore the Haunted Hotel at OK Falls Hotel Bar + Grill, where spooky thrills await from October 24-31, with family-friendly scares from 5-7 PM and the scariest experience from 7-9 PM!

102) Let the kids burn off some energy at John Bell Playground with its slides, swings, and monkey bars.


Oliver Fall Activities

103) Enjoy ice cream, coffee, or candy from Gems and Stems at Eastside.

104) Visit the Oliver Museumwhich houses exhibits and collections of artifacts.

105) Catch a movie and enjoy popcorn at the Oliver Theatre.

106) Visit Lion’s Park to enjoy one of the many amenities – a playground, skateboard park, and basketball hoop.

107) Support local and purchase fresh fruit and produce from a local fruit stand or orchard.

108) Stop at Rotary Beach on Tuc-el-Nuit Lake where the kids can enjoy the playground.

109) Catch a family-friendly performance at Venables Theatre.


Osoyoos Fall Activities

110) Book a guided tour at Osoyoos Desert Centre or visit their interpretive facility and take a self-guided tour of the facility.

111) Grab your skates and enjoy public skating, senior & tot skating, and shinny hockey at the Sun Bowl Arena. Check their schedule online for more information.

112) Rent an e-bike or mountain bike from Double O Bikes and cruise around Osoyoos.

113) Visit three cool playgrounds in Osoyoos – Lions Park & Playground, Kinsmen Park, or Osoyoos Elementary Natural Playground for a playdate.

114) Stop in at Osoyoos’ newest Ice Cream and Treat Shop, Scoopsies. They serve a variety of hard ice creams, soft-serve ice cream as well as cupcakes, and assorted beverages.

115) Visit the Nk’Mip Desert Cultural Centre for a self-guided tour.

116) Drive up to Anarchist Mountain for panoramic views of Osoyoos.

117) Let the good times roll at Kobau Lanes Bowling Centre! They offer 5-pin bowling fun – great for private events, birthday parties, or small group gatherings.

118) Head down to the Osoyoos Farmers’ Market on Saturdays until October.

119) Learn, and explore everything the Osoyoos Museum has to offer.

120) If you are looking to shop for kids’ toys and everything you can imagine – stop at Home Hardware in Osoyoos. You can spend hours exploring this store and will walk away with some treasures!

121) Check out children’s activities, classes, and programs available at Dharma Kids.

122) Imagine, create, and design during the Osoyoos Library Builders Challenge Club! This free drop-in program is available on Tuesdays with Lego and Keva planks available.

123) Stop for a view of Spotted Lake, northwest of Osoyoos on Highway 3.

124) Explore Canada’s only desert on horseback at Sun Hills Riding Centre.


Peachland Fall Activities

125) Watch the salmon spawn up close at Hardy Falls Regional Park. Spawning starts in early September and goes until the beginning of October.

126) Fly through the sky at ZipZone Peachland. Not only do you get to enjoy the highest freestyle ziplines in Canada, but you can also enjoy activities such as the Ninja course, DynaClimb climbing wall, and family games.

127) Book an Okanagan ATV Tour – a great family outing for beginners or experts. (16+ years old)

128) Visit Peachland Farmers and Crafters Market on Sundays in Heritage Park – vendors include a wide variety of unique crafts, arts, and edibles. End the last Sunday in September.

129) Bring your skateboard, bikes, scooters, and more to Peachland’s Skate Park.

130) Stroll along the Bat House Interpretive Trail, a great educational trail set up by BEEPS.

131) Visit Heritage Park and Playground – featuring swings, a rock climbing wall, and two play structures.

132) Explore the Peachland Museum where you will see a model of the Kettle Valley Railway, historical artifacts, photographs, and more.


Penticton Fall Activities

133) Stop at one of the many drop-in programs available in Penticton.

134) Scale to new heights and go outdoor rock climbing at Skaha Bluffs.

135) Book a ticket for a race at the Penticton Speedway.

136) Walk through the Penticton-Ikeda Japanese Gardens to view koi fish and enjoy the beautiful gardens.

137) Head to Main Street for the Penticton Farmers’ Market on Saturday mornings from mid-April until the end of October.

138) Bring the family to Roll N’ Stones Fun Centre for laser bowling, blacklight mini-golf, arcade games, billiards, or darts.

140) Head to Penticton’s BMX Park located on Munson Mountain Road.

141) Take a short walk/hike up Munson Mountain to see the famous PENTICTON sign and for panoramic views of the City.

143) Bring your kids’ bike to the Poplar Grove KVR Pump Track across from Hillside Winery.

145) Train your body and mind to climb, jump, and run at Ethos Parkour & Movement.

146) Explore the Penticton Museum & Archives and experience hands-on displays and activities for the whole family. Don’t forget to say hi to their in-house snake!

147) Book headsets at VR Studio in Penticton and choose from a library of experiences and games.

148) Make a splash at the Penticton Community Centre. This swimming facility features a leisure pool with a lazy river and a large whirlpool, spray features, and a waterslide.

149) Visit one of the many parks and playgrounds.

150) Reserve your seat and catch a flick at Landmark Cinemas.

151) Figure out the clues and get out in time from one of four escape rooms at EXIT Penticton.

152) Drop in for an indoor play session at Springers Gymnastics or Flip’PEN Gymnastics.

153) Visit the Penticton Public Library to take out a book, magazine, or DVD in the kids’ section. Take part in the family storytime sessions.

154) Take a self-guided tour of the S.S. Sicamous and view the huge Model Railway which is open Fridays and Saturdays from 10:30 am – 3:00 pm starting September 20, 2024.

155) Walk or bike along the Penticton Channel Parkway. This path connects Okanagan Lake to Skaha Lake and is stroller and pet-friendly.

156) Book an appointment at The Splat Room Penticton and unleash your creativity: paint on the walls, throw or splatter paint on your canvas, and embrace the mess—no rules, just fun!

157) Try indoor rock climbing at Hoodoo Adventures or book one of their adventure camps.

158) Head to the Penticton Skate Park – a great venue for borders, bikers, and bladers.


Summerland Fall Activities
